Dr Laurie Doube
  • BVSc (Hons)

Laurie has been working in the industry for many years and has been working at the Birdwood and Woodside clinics for around 6 months. His areas of particular interest include soft tissue and reconstructive surgery as well as dentistry. Laurie’s favourite parts of the job include seeing animals going home healthier than when they arrived, ensuring that the best is done for our most important members of the family and getting to know clients as people rather than just clients.

Laurie’s hobbies outside of work include squash, jogging, music and live theater (as an observer not participant!). Laurie lives with his wife Denise, two dogs Buster and Paddy and a cat called George on a small farm in Birdwood where they run steers.

Practice Manager

Jess joined our team as our Practice Manager in May 2019. Jess has spent the last 7 years working in small animal practices. After completing her Diploma in Emergency and Critical Care Nursing, Jess has returned to the Barossa area to help our clinic continue to provide exceptional standards of veterinary care to all furry friends.

Vet Nurse/ Groomer

Tanya has been grooming for over 30 years and in the veterinary industry for over 20 years. She has been at Birdwood for nearly 4 years. She really enjoys grooming and surgeries. Tanya is often seen cuddling and giving love to our patients. She loves meeting lots of people and getting the chance to not only cuddle pets but help get them well.

When she is not working, Tanya can be seen out in her garden or visiting family and friends. She is an awesome cook who loves to entertain. But mostly loves playing with all her pets. Tanya has an extensive range of pets ranging from horses, birds, chooks, dogs (Jaxx, Zowie and Zues), cats, guinea pigs, possum, rats, lizards and a carpet python called Monty.
